OUR SETTINGS

The environment in which your child works and plays is not only of vital importance to your child's comfort and happiness but is also an intrinsic part of the learning process.

Children learn through exploration; we ensure that each of our settings provides a safe and stimulating arena in which they can do so.  You make your home as comfortable and welcoming as you can; we take the same approach with our settings.  You can also be assured that health and safety are paramount and that we aim to exceed official standards in these areas.

It has taken more than ten years of growing, developing and searching for the best possible premises to find these beautiful settings we now work from:

ANNE FRANK MONTESSORI HORSHAM:

2 – 5 years

Bennetts Field, off Brighton Road, Horsham

We are very lucky to have the use of the HH Scouts in Bennetts Field for our Horsham base.  It is purpose-converted to provide a safe, pleasant and convenient location in which the children have plenty of room to play and work, hygienic toilet facilities and a secure outdoor area with plenty of toys for active play.   We have places for 26 children aged 2-5 years of age and is open from 8.30am-3.30pm (8:00 am - 4:00 pm from Sept 2010) for 38 weeks of the year; before and after school care is also available, in partnership with the Casa dei Bambini just down the road.

ANNE FRANK MONTESSORI SOUTHWATER:

18 months – 8 years

1 Church Lane, Southwater

"Staff have created a warm, welcoming, loving and nurturing environment for the children where they can absorb knowledge and respect, and grow in independence, confidence and self-esteem." (Montessori Evaluation & Accreditation Board, December 2008)

Our newest, but already well-established, venture has its own building in Southwater and provides nursery/day care for 28 children aged from 18 months to 8 years.  It is open from 8am-6pm for 50 weeks of the year.   The facilities are purpose-converted for children and it has its own secure garden and playground.

The opening of this location has also enabled us to register as a Training Provider for West Sussex County Council.  We provide officially endorsed courses and workshops for parents and practitioners, including a Foundation Course in Montessori Pedagogy equivalent to an NVQ level 2 (an Advanced Course, equivalent to NVQ level 3, is planned to open in 2010).

Each setting has ample free parking and is well situated in close proximity to playgrounds and/or fields.

Each setting is run according to Montessori principles with Montessori equipment, by a team of qualified and qualifying professionals.  The vast majority of our practitioners are in training to achieve a nationally-recognised qualification; we believe in the value of life-long learning and exceed Ofsted’s minimum standards with regard to staff qualifications.
